Research has confirmed that whole body vibration (WBV) has been found to reduce pain and improve function in people with knee osteo arthritis[i].
It also helps to prevent age-related reduction of neuromuscular performance[ii].
Balance and leg strength improvements suggest WBV beneficially impacts fall risk and incidence[iii]. For post-menopausal women good results have been found also to complement other treatments for osteoporosis[iv]
At Wimbledon Health we offer the use of this device to all suitable patients as part of our varied gamut of pain relief and rehabilitation tools.
